Tom Hanks was “an absolute gentleman”, a fellow military buff who wrote a get well soon letter for Bruce's daughter Lois, who was ill in hospital. His collection also includes Winston Churchill's bath, which the railway contractor rescued from a bunker in a disused tube station, Hitler's toilet from his luxury yacht the Aviso Grille, and the iconic 'Born To Kill' emblazoned helmet from Full Metal Jacket.
