Boss weaknesses are also present in the form of "elements", so rather than needing, say, a specific electric-themed weapon, you can just add a Shock element to whatever shot you want. You can change the bullet size, how many shots you fire, toggle charge shots, make them curve, reflect off surfaces, explode upon contact, reduce the damage you take while using that type of shot, etc. Like Mega Man, Beck can shoot projectiles based on what the bosses use, but it's just a visual effect in this game with no actual difference from the normal shot - instead, you can customize each shot to an insane degree. Mighty Gunvolt Burst's real draw is that basically takes Mega Man's ability to copy enemy powers and goes wild with it. TBH it's not really that important and you can completely ignore the mechanic if you don't care about score, but it can be less useless when you're playing as alternate characters with meters that fill faster when you get a Burst. With this you can get a "Burst" by killing an enemy while standing close to it, which gives you a score boost and keeps your Burst combo going. First off, Beck no longer has his stupid dash-to-kill gimmick from MN9, instead replacing it with the titular Burst.
